In 2000, my wife and I opened a restaurant in Belmont, NC. We opened in a building built in 1947. The business was called City Supply and Lumber. We kept the city name and called ourselves City Cafe.
In 2005, we had outgrown the parking in Belmont, so we moved 4 miles away to Mt Holly, NC. We again found a well known building that had been Jones Brother's Grocery built in the mid 40's and 50's. We now have a beautiful building on Main Street in the center of the downtown district with lots of parking in the second largest town in Gaston County. And we have the biggest bar in town and one of the prettiest in Gaston County!

We have gained a great reputation for our mac & cheese, fried squash, meatloaf, Southern salmon patties, bar-b-que, and City fried chicken and classic Rueben sandwich. We now have a full salad bar with homemade soups everyday to go with our full compliment of comfort foods. Our hamburgers with homemade fries are awesome! On weekends we offer various specials such as steak specials, slow roasted prime rib, or bar-b-que ribs. Don't forget our Sunday buffet - the only thing missing is a big appetite.
